Our “All Natural” Casona

Stay in the comfort of the beautiful Playa Hermosa Beach Hotel, affectionately known as La Casona. Constructed entirely of wood, this hotel has the amazing distinction of being built almost totally from ONE tree, called the Genizaro. Other names for this tree include Saman or rain tree, as its leaves fold up during rainy weather. Living for hundreds of years and growing to immense sizes, these trees are currently being used in parts of the world to absorb carbon dioxide, a contributing factor to global warming. Our huge tree was over 300 years old when it started to dry out and die. After getting all the necessary authorizations, we were thrilled to use this wonderful material for most of the hotel. We constructed the pillars and beams of eucalyptus.

You have many options when spend your surf, family or beach vacation at Playa Hermosa Beach Hotel. Come with a group or with your significant other for a romantic getaway. Enjoy a peaceful day on our beach, lounging in hammocks or interacting with your friends or family under natural ranchos (palapas) with tables and chairs. The hotel sits in the middle of a beautiful subtropical forest, with endless opportunities to view interesting trees, flowers, butterflies, monkeys and turtles.

Our full-service grill restaurant serves tasty food and national rum and beer. You have everything you need for a terrific beach vacation right here at the hotel.

Two (2) rooms with five (5) beds each and private bathroom.

Price per person: $18.00 USD

Second floor:

Four (4) rooms with king bed, private bathroom and terrace. Two rooms overlooking the ocean, two rooms with views of the forest. Private lockers included.

Price per room: $45.00 USD
